Ghee butter has been included in Indian cuisines for centuries. It is also known by the name clarified butter which is made by heating regular butter until all the water evaporates. Impurities, if any, are removed then. The ghee butter made in this way is more nutritious and lasts longer than regular butter. Ghee butter adds a rich and nutty flavor to daily dishes along with offering several potential health benefits. It is rich in vitamins A, E, and K, as well as some beneficial fats like linoleic acid and butyric acid.

What are the health benefits of consuming ghee butter?

Ghee butter help in maintaining a healthy immune system, promotes healthy skin, aiding in blood clotting. There are some trace minerals found in ghee butter, such as calcium, phosphorus, and selenium. These essential minerals promote bone strength, boost energy, and fight free radicals. A variety of fatty acids contained in it support healthy digestion. Its antioxidant properties and natural fatty acids assist in cell regeneration. This leads to healthier, younger-looking skin and hair. The exceptional heat stability offered by ghee butter prevents the formation of harmful toxins, ensuring the preservation of valuable nutrients in the food.

Is ghee butter healthier than regular butter?

Gheebutter is processed to remove the milk solids, natural water content, and lactose. This makes it a healthier alternative to traditional dairy butter and contains only pure butterfat. It also has a higher burning point, allowing you to cook with it at higher temperatures without producing any harmful substances.

Can people with lactose intolerance or dairy allergies consume ghee butter?

Ghee butter is prepared by simmering butter till the milk solids separate from the fat, so most of the lactose and milk proteins are removed. Many people who are sensitive to lactose enjoy ghee, but it is still a dairy product and may contain trace milk proteins; if you have a dairy allergy or lactose intolerance, please consult your healthcare provider before use.

How should I store ghee butter?

Ghee butter has a long shelf life due to its preparation process. It is safe to keep it at room temperature, but in order to store it for several months, you can conserve it in the refrigerator. Some Other Guidelines: To store the ghee butter, carefully pour it into a clean, dry glass jar and tighten it with its secure lid. Ghee butter is sensitive to moisture and should not be exposed to water or humidity. Store the jar in a cool, dry area away from direct heat and light sources, such as the stove counter. While scooping the ghee butter out of the jar, use a clean, dry spoon or another tool. This will help ensure the freshness and quality of the ghee butter and will prevent the ghee butter from becoming contaminated or developing an off-putting smell.

How can I use ghee butter in cooking?

With the distinctive property of a high smoke point, ghee butter is a popular choice for frying, boiling, and roasting vegetables. It is an ideal substitute for butter or oil because of its composition which includes healthy saturated fats. Ghee butter can add a delicious aroma and caramel-like flavor to treats like cookies, cakes, muffins, and loaves of bread and can also be used for making similar baking products. Melted ghee butter, can be poured over popcorn, roasted nuts, or steamed vegetables and making them extra delicious.

Is your ghee organic?

Yes! We use 100% USDA certified organic butter from grass-fed cows.

What makes it Ayurvedic?

Our traditional slow-cook method, rooted in Ayurveda, enhances the ghee’s nourishing qualities and digestive benefits.

Is this safe for people on special diets?

Absolutely. It’s keto, paleo, Whole30, and gluten-free. As a dairy product, it may contain trace milk proteins, so consult your healthcare provider if you have a dairy allergy.

Golden Monkey Ghee
I have used the organic ghee couple of times and noticed the difference between Sri Sri Tattva product and ghee bought from other stores. Sri Sri Tattva is by far the best ghee. Even someone who came over realized the authenticity when I served them food adding a little ghee on top of the roti :)

Real Ghee
I turned a vegan from vegetarian due to the cruelty in dairy industry. Even now but for the Sri Sri Tattva brand, I avoid all forms of dairy and dairy products. I have total knowledge of their animals, practices and philosophy. This is the 'only' ghee I consume. Ghee has extensive health benefits.
I am grateful for Sri Sri Tattva. Due to them, their high standards and compassion for all beings, I am still able to include ghee in my diet .
